Amentum IT Support Technician in Zavzerni, Poland

Purpose: The IT Support Technician provides support to our team on the Remote Distribution Center – Ukraine program in Poland. This position will provide Tier 2 IT help desk support, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting and providing video teleconferencing and remote support. With your experience with Windows operating systems including patching and updates, Active Directory, data encryption, and backup software, you will make a great addition to our team. In addition to your technical experience, you also have exceptional customer service skills and are willing to go the extra mile.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides LAN administrator support with the installation, configuration and maintenance of network communication devices, servers, network storage arrays and tape backup units

• Provides support of network attached devices such as computers, printers, fax machines, biometric devices, electrocardiograms, x-ray machines, smart display, and sensors. Also provide support of mobile and wireless devices to include smartphones, tablets, and hotspots

• Assists in testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and related security patches, as well as maintaining and checking the health of systems and backups to include restore testing

• Monitors ITSM (ServiceNow) assignment groups and applies troubleshooting needed to resolve tickets

• Conducts or provides new equipment deployments and/or requested deployment support, including installation and maintenance of video teleconferencing infrastructure

• Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture and engineering team and COTS products

• Participates in pre-scheduled after-hours support of weekly on-call rotation and/or as a team member supporting special projects or events

• Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.

• Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.

• Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.

• Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education:

• Associate’s degree, and at least 2 years of IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role

o Or High school diploma/GED, and at least 5 years of IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.

Experience:

• Experience evaluating system performance results and recommending improvements or optimizations.

• Experience performing IT hardware repairs and installing replacement parts.

• Experience planning and leading technology assignments and projects.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to read electrical schematic and perform technical inspections.

• Must speak, read, and write English.

• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience of IT support in an Enterprise environment (10,000+ end-users).

• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.

• Prior hands-on experience with the setup, configuration and administration of servers and backups.

• International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.

Certification, License & Clearance:

• ITIL v4, MCSE, A+, Security+, Network+, or other relevant certifications

• Valid US Driver’s license required.

• US Citizenship required.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

Facility credentials/authorization required:

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization:

Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demand s:

• Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

• When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
