As a Test & Software Engineer Intern you will be able to work with different products developed by our team. You will gain knowledge about the software development process and our continuous integration setup. You will work with tools like Jenkins, Nexus, Docker, TestRail and many others. An ideal candidate should have open mind set, be flexible, focused on quality and open to switching to different projects. With our organization we use Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with SCRUM teams. Our culture is characterized by short decision paths, clear targets and team spirit. We work in multinational environment so fluent English in speaking and writing is a must.

As our Test Engineer Intern , you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Performing & designing functional tests for electronic security devices

  • Performing & designing exploratory tests and define test scenarios for test automation purposes

  • Supporting in test execution and test results analysis

  • Creating project documentation and document performed tests

  • Learning how to create test automation including testing environments: frameworks based on Python, C#/.NET, lab equipment, and measurement methodology in test automation

  • Learning embedded environment: different MCUs, peripherals, use cases

  • Working with lab equipment and products based on embedded systems

    What we will love about your background:

  • Basic knowledge of any programming language

  • Basic knowledge of automation and test frameworks

  • Electronics knowledge

  • Ability to use measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, voltmeters

  • Knowledge of C# is a plus

  • Knowledge of any scripting language such as Python is a plus

  • Ability to read PCB schematics and do small PCB reworks is a plus

  • Willingness to learn testing techniques

  • Eye for detail

    Your Experience and Education include:

  • +2rd year of technical studies, preferably Applied Computer Science

  • Active student status

  • Availability to work minimum 20h per week, for at least 14 weeks

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
