Bureau of Reclamation Administrative Officer in Yuma, Arizona

Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Administrative Officer. Duty Location: Lower Colorado Basin Region, Yuma Area Office, Management Services Office located in Yuma, Arizona. Full time telework and remote work not available; housing not provided. Responsibilities Serves as the principle liaison between the Yuma Area Office (YAO) and the applicable LCB Region's Office (Human Resources, Financial Management, Information Management and Technology, and Acquisition and Assistance Management) on all matters regarding YAO. Develops immediate and long-range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for assigned administrative functions for the YAO. Responsible for the formulation and execution of the working capital funds for the YAO. Develops work plans, objectives and priorities for program accomplishments. Serves as the expert advisor to the Area Manager, Deputy Area Manager, other Office Chiefs, and other supervisors on the management services required to direct and operate the organization. Assists management in identifying their financial, personnel and material needs and problems; and recommends solutions to such problems. To qualify at the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly reflect one year of full time experience: 1) planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the work of administrative and operational functional programs such as property, facility operations, or budgeting; 2) experience providing analysis and advice to senior management and others on implementing and improving office management methods and procedures; and 3) collaborating with Human Resources specialists in finding solutions to management problems. Your resume must clearly reflect experience performing all 3 of the above. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Reclamation policy is to report to the office 40 hours each 80 hour payperiod. Full time telework or remote work is not available for this position.
