SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Level II Electrophysiology Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician(s) with all diagnostic and complex interventional adult Electrophysiology procedures. Primary clinical roles include scrubbing, circulating and monitoring/recording.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • The Level II Electrophysiology Technologist will possess either:

  • A minimum of two (2) years full-time work experience in Cardiac Electrophysiology laboratory, or

  • Five (5) years in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory.

  • Current RCES certification or must obtain RCES certification within two (2) years from date of hire.

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or must obtain within six (6) months from date of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Graduate of an associate or higher academic program in related health science preferred.
