    JOB SUMMARY

    The body shop technicians must be able to complete all basic tasks required. This position will be responsible for disassembling and reassembling all truck related components. Techs will also be required to perform prep work on all hoods, cabs, chassis fairings and any other truck or related equipment.

    ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Understands the importance of attendance and punctuality and how it directly impacts customer service.

  • Is a good steward of company tools and resources.

  • Achieves and maintains certifications as required by the company, the OEM’s or by Federal Law.

  • Must be able to complete work accurately and timely as outlined in published time standards guidelines.

  • Must be able to write and/or type a good description of all work performed on each individual repair using the dealer management system.

  • Ability to perform all aspects of the job safely and in accordance with OSHA and Bruckner’s rules and regulations expressed and implied.

  • Trained to use all tools of trade, including precision instruments and technical shop machines and diagnostic tools.

  • Working knowledge and can demonstrate systems knowledge of: (Time management, work flowing parts, communicating in Asist, and supplies.)

    EXAMPLES OF SKILLS NEEDED TO MASTER THIS LEVEL

  • Performs timely repairs, minimum 85% efficiency and 80% Proficiency.

  • Performs quality repairs with minimal rework

  • A forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards

  • Displays a firm understanding of the big picture and the mission at hand.

    PROGRESSION REQUIREMENT

  • High School Diploma desired.

  • Must possess and use good interpersonal skills to interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.

  • Must be able to read and write in English and understand computer generated reports, office reports, invoices, etc.

  • Must be able to operate various computer diagnostic devices, laptops, and tablets.

  • Able to prep efficiently for painting parts and trucks

  • Can perform hood exchanges with minimal supervision

  • Active in Safety Committee

  • Basic Diagnostics and Trouble Shooting

  • Communicate through Asist

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Involves essential ability to maneuver around, in, on and under trucks to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
