Aerotek Avionics Technician in Yakima, Washington

For the last four decades this Aerospace company has manufactured or rebuilt a fleet of over a thousand best-of-class STOL aircraft, and we're continuing to grow! We are seeking talented mechanically-inclined professionals that would like to join an industry-leading manufacturing team.

We're looking for a responsible, motivated, and talented individual that can contribute to an aviation manufacturing line, with specific responsibilities as follows:

Learn and master internal manufacturing procedures and processes for STOL aircraft production.

Deliver high-quality work by engaging in careful workmanship on a daily basis.

Deliver on-time work in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

Exhibit a strong work ethic and positive attitude as part of a team of like-minded individuals Successfully meet organizational expectations in a FAA quality controlled production facility.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret manufactures installation instruction and Cub Crafters mechanical drawings

Read and interpret manufacturer and Cub Crafters wiring diagrams

Perform new and retro fit installation of avionics systems in Cub Type aircraft, including instrument panels, LRU and antenna locating and mounting, electrical distribution and bussing

Fabricate, test and install wiring harnesses

Assemble and install electromechanical components, such as autopilot servos and electric motors

Skills:

quality, inspection, manufacturing process

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in the avionics manufacturing or modification field

Ability to read and understand electrical ad mechanical drawings

Strong wire harness fabrication skills, including crimping and soldering of wire and coax cable

Strong electrical and avionics troubleshooting skills

Wire harness routing and securement kills

Technical, analytic and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail

Enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic fast paced production environment
