National Salvage and Service is seeking to hire a Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of Alabama or Mississippi. Great pay and incentives!

National is a leading wholesale provider of used railroad ties and new railroad ties and other treated hardwood railroad track products, as well as recycled utility poles.
Job Functions
Work on heavy equipment, trucks, and service vehicles
Conduct vehicle/equipment inspections and diagnostic tests; identify and resolve worn, broken, or damaged parts
Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system problems and consider possible solutions
Maintain vehicles/equipment using preventive maintenance procedures that meets or exceeds industry standards
Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventive maintenance service
Works under limited supervision
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Qualifications:
Deep working knowledge of Hydraulics and Diesel vehicles
Need experience using mig and stick welding processes
Must have skills in cutting with torches and plasma cutters
Minimum of 2 years of Diesel Mechanic Experience
