Overview
Fairview Health Services is looking for an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our Radiology department at our M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center location in Wyoming, MN. Fairview Lakes Medical Center provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a Level IV trauma center, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. We offer complete care for your whole family. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and more.
Position details: The CT Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care team.
This is a casual position.

Responsibilities Job Description
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve efficient patient outcomes
Performs excellent patient care and examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in crafting a culture of patient safety and demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation and connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
Ensures patient data integrity
Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes
Follows infection control guidelines
Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members and acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution
Responds appropriately to emergent situations
Completed all require continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure
Participates as an active team member
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains room and supplies
Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.
Contributes to a positive work environment.
Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately.
Maintains a high level of proficiency
Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Qualifications
Required:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Current Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Additional Requirements:
Understanding of current MN Dept of Health Regulations
Knowledge of quality control and safety standards
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred:
ARRT CT Certification
1 or more years of experience as a CT Technologist
