  • Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.

  • Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.

  • Performs Pre-Use inspections on all lift trucks prior to first use each shift.

  • Safety operates fork lift with all attachments – fork, turn-a-fork, clamp & probe

  • Does not use lift truck for purposes for which not intended.

  • Always gets off truck and moves material so it can be picked up safely without damaging other material or equipment in the area.

  • When handling product, does so with care and does not cause damage to material or storage racks.

  • Verifies product is packaged and labeled properly and works with on shift supervisor to get fixed if not correct before putting away.

  • Keeps warehouse organized by moving products to assigned areas.

  • Using FIFO, coordinates transporting raw materials, operating and packaging supplies, and resins/additives from warehouses to all machine centers in WRT.

  • Operating supplies include but not limited to: pallets, resins, tapes, headers, maintaining supply of baling wire at balers, tops, headers, stretch wrap, banding materials, cores…

  • Coordinates transporting finished material, work in process material, packaging and operating supplies from machine centers to other machine centers or the warehouse. This requires detailed communication and planning with on shift operators, supervisors, and machine schedules to ensure machines are never waiting for material.

  • Accurately and consistently scans all material moved to new location each and every time an item is picked up and placed somewhere else.

  • Assists with wrapping of materials off machines as needed.

  • Keeps warehouse clean and organized by keeping materials in designated areas maintain 5S where designated.

  • Management of all facets of plant waste to include but not limited to:

  • Operates balers, transports waste, trim bales, poly bleed blocks from balers and machine areas to waste staging area. Ensures all bales are marked with weight on them.

  • Loads scrap trailers and documents what material is loaded per company policy and keeps scrap areas clean.

  • Conducts trailer inspections on new scrap trailers when a shipping/receiving person is not available to do so.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Hours:

  • 2-2-3 12 Hour Schedule

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.

  • One to three months related experience.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
