Our Customer & Category Growth team is looking for a passionate, team-centric, results-driven Director to lead our Health care, general merchandise, and consumables businesses. As the Lead Director Personalization Growth, you will lead your team in providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure we achieve our customer, sales, and margin growth targets.

You will be responsible for leadership development, succession planning, and driving engagement programs for the teams you oversee. Ensure development and mentorship of next generation of leadership talent.

With the support of your team, data analytics, marketing, and other cross functional partners, you and your team will work closely with category managers to understand their strategic priorities and translate those priorities into personalized coupon strategies that will drive a specific customer behavior. Supplier collaboration will be an integral part of the team’s success.

You will need to be comfortable managing weekly growth targets and holding yourself and your team accountable to achieve the targets. In this role you will partner with resources across the organization to build 1:1 personalization strategies against identified opportunities, these strategies will include the use of all vehicles and all channels – e.g., direct mail, email, in-store offers, digital, etc.  Your experience translating customer and/or category insights into specific action plans with a record of accomplishment of achieving transformational growth will be paramount to your success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and management of cross-channel strategy, ensuring we are delivering relevant communications with every touch point that are supporting key objectives across customer & category strategies, including integration with broader enterprise marketing strategies.

  • Lead a team in developing hypothesis-driven customer and category growth strategies using data, analytics, industry findings, and cross-functional partnership  

  • Size and scope personalization program and category opportunities, which should include a business case, a path to growth, an execution plan, and partnership buy-in

  • Execute additional team projects as assigned that enhance the broader team’s performance or streamlines operational processes.

  • Delegation and assignment of responsibilities within a project to appropriate stakeholders and holding team members accountable to deliver objectives in a timely manner.

  • Identifying risk and mitigation strategies to ensure success.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly competitive multi-unit environment. Relevant sectors include customer growth and development, data-driven marketing, and/or strategy development in a retail, consumer packaged goods, or consulting environment.

  • Previous experience developing strategies to mobilize the business to achieve goals and outcomes using innovative solutions.

  • Proven record building high-performing, successful teams developing key talent.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate vision and strategy into actionable timelines and produce successful outcomes.

  • Previous experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time. 

  • Previous experience leveraging data to support strategic plans and return on investment.

  • Expertise with MS Office suite of applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact.

  • Travel requirements: Up to 15%, based on needs of the business.

  • Demonstrated passion for bringing new leaders along and helping them realize their ability to impact the business.

  • Experience actively taking on issues in a decisive manner, while keeping broader organizational dynamics in mind and empowering your leaders to obtain results through building behaviors.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business management or marketing

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
