Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Woodbury, New York

Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in WOODBURY, New York. As a key member of our team, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts, handling communication, and processing orders. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is instrumental in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within our industry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle both inbound and outbound communication professionally via phone or email.

• Set up new customer accounts and maintain their records accurately.

• Process and enter customer sales orders received through various channels.

• Develop a thorough understanding of our product offerings to suggest additional accessories and product substitutes when required.

• Resolve customer inquiries, issues, and returns with extreme accuracy and efficiency.

• Keep track of all pending orders through to shipping and ensure necessary documentation is obtained for invoicing customers.

• Arrange shipment of orders by obtaining freight quotes and selecting carriers with the best rates.

• Manage customer delivery requirements and advise production planner, shipping, and customer of changes as they occur.

• Utilize systems technology to handle high volumes of inquiries and ensure an effortless customer experience.

• Provide solutions when a product malfunctions and ensure thorough follow-up for accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and handling both inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment.

• Proven experience in providing high-quality customer service.

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

• Excellent email correspondence skills, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.

• Familiarity with order entry processes and systems.

• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal use of resources.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for various tasks.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer situations with patience and professionalism.
