Description We are looking for a methodical Staff Accountant to join our team based in Woodbury, Minnesota. The primary role will be to manage various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, job costing, payroll processing, and month-end closing activities. You will also be required to assist with bookkeeping for our sister company and perform internal audits when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Processing accounts payable - filing, matching invoices to packing lists, coding and entering into ERP

• Receiving purchase orders and allocating material to and from jobs

• Managing payroll - labor edits, uploading punches, reviewing punches, and submitting payroll

• Assisting in the bookkeeping of our sister company, including fixing asset/depreciations and month/year-end reporting

• Performing job costing, reconciling accounts, and making journal entries

• Processing commissions and conducting internal audits

• Handling other duties as assigned, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in General Ledger systems and operations

• Experience with Journal Entries and Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Month End Close activities

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Weekly Payroll efficiently

• Experience in posting Journal Entries

• Knowledge of General Ledger System

• Ability to handle Month-end Close Activities

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
