Elevance Health Product Lifecycle Strategy Director in Woodbridge, New Jersey

The Product Lifecycle Strategy Director will play a pivotal role within Carelon’s Product Operations organization, focusing on enhancing the success of initiatives related to the organization’s product lifecycle strategy. Our ideal Director brings strong leadership, robust program management skills, and experience navigating ambiguity in a complex, multi-stakeholder corporate environment. This Director will possess strong relationship and consensus-building abilities to drive product lifecycle initiatives from inception to completion. The position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) from any US Elevance Health corporate location.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead efforts across Carelon businesses to refine and execute strategies that enhance product lifecycle management and drive organizational success.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish robust program designs, clear success criteria, guiding principles, and effective governance/escalation structures.

  • Utilize expertise in product lifecycle to support new product development, capability migrations or expansions, and operating model designs.

  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and consensus among stakeholders across various Carelon business units.

  • Provide strategic guidance and direct support to teams involved in Utilization Management, Specialty Benefits Management, Payment Integrity, Advocacy, Health Plan Subrogation, Behavioral Health, Health Solutions, and Pharmacy.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred skills and experiences:

  • Healthcare industry experiences in managed care or providers preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multifaceted corporate setting requiring deep relationship building and stakeholder engagement preferred

  • Proven track record in leading product lifecycle management or similar roles, with a strong focus on execution excellence preferred

  • Exceptional program management skills, with experience in establishing frameworks for product success and navigating complex challenges preferred

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, able to drive consensus and inspire cross-functional teams preferred

  • Developing and delivering Executive-level communications, as all internal clients are VP+ Leaders preferred

  • Prior strategy or management consulting experience at firms such as PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, E&Y, Bain & Company, BCG, etc., preferred.

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Ability to travel

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $133,280 to $219,912

Locations: Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada
