Mölnlycke, a medical device manufacturer in Wiscasset, ME, is seeking full-time Boiler Operator / Facilities Technician for Night Shift (5:30PM – 5:30AM).To support our manufacturing of healthcare products worldwide. We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others and work well in a team based environment.

What we offer:

  • Work schedule:

  • 3-day & 4-day work weeks

  • 12-hour shifts (5:30 PM - 5:30 AM)

  • Workdays and hours may vary depending on operational needs; occasional overtime and weekend work may be required

  • $30.39 an hour to start

  • $2.00 shift differential between the hours of 5:30pm to 5:30am

  • *Sign-on/retention bonus is paid $250 in third paycheck and $750 after successful completion of introductory period.

    What you’ll do:

    Operate and perform routine and nonroutine maintenance of boiler(s) and associated facilities equipment, including but not limited to Air Compressors, HVAC, plumbing and heating systems. Maintain spare parts and tool inventory. Support equipment improvements in an ISO9001 and ISO13485 Quality Systems.

  • Operate High Pressure Boiler according to State of Maine regulations and company guidelines.

  • Maintain Boiler Water tolerances according to name plate data. Conductivity, Alkalinity, PH and Turbidity.

  • Maintain and trouble shoot failures associated with Boiler(s) Compressors, HVAC, Plumbing and Heating systems.

  • Navigate and make basic changes in the BMS (Building Management System)

  • Navigate, enter and complete workorders in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Work with vendors and contractors to repair issues beyond existing skill sets.

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering in support of equipment and facility improvements.

  • Maintain Spare Part and Tool Inventories associated with facility equipment and components.

  • Support efforts to develop and implement best practices associated with Facility and Equipment Maintenance.

  • Ensuring assigned Preventive Maintenance work orders are completed on time and in accordance with WI-0099.

  • Prioritizing planned and unplanned activities to ensure safe, quality and productive outcomes are achieved.

  • Appropriate communications to co-workers.

    What you’ll need:

  • Boiler Operations

  • Plumbing IE: Oil, Water, Gas and Steam.

  • Hydraulic and Pneumatics knowledge.

  • Basic Wiring AC/DC circuits

  • Understand, trouble shoot and repair equipment.

  • Microsoft Office Applications. IE: Outlook, Word, Excel

  • Understand OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI LOTO and NFPA 70E.

  • Maine State High Pressure Boiler Operators License. (4th Class Preferred).

  • 2 years of trade school in and applicable trade and/or 5 years’ experience in Facility Maintenance to include but not limited to:

  • Compressors.

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Building and Grounds

  • Pre-employment physical, background check, and at least 2 professional references required

  • Proven success working in a team-based environment as well as the ability to meet performance measures with minimal direct supervision and guidance

  • Over 75% of the workdays are spent walking or standing

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, and grasping

  • Ability to wear a respirator
