Seeking experienced Senior Engineer to join our Systems Verification team at Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT. You will collaborate with systems engineers in designing, developing, integrating, and verifying Environmental Airframe Control Systems (EACS). Your role will involve executing system development tasks, coordinating test campaigns, conducting tests, and implementing automation. What You Will Do

  • Work in a team environment with limited supervision, engaging in full systems development life cycle (plan, design, verify, qualify) of environmental and airframe control systems.

  • Conduct hands-on lab integration, system verification (manual and automated), and troubleshooting.

  • Drive the improvement of systems engineering processes.

  • Identify risks associated with systems integration activities and develop mitigation plans.

  • Drive technical issues to closure.

  • Investigate problems to the root cause and lead the creation and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Perform implementation verification, including planning, coordination, and execution.

  • Ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget while contributing to a positive work environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in design and verification of complex aerospace or automotive systems.

  • Familiarity with aerospace certification requirements such as ARP4754, DO178, and/or DO254.

  • Experience in simulation, scripting, and test automation tools (e.g., Veristand/LabView, MATLAB/Simulink/Speedgoat, Python, Perl).

  • Background in working on programs utilizing the Agile Framework.

  • Strong communication skills, including experience in presenting technical data.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a mixed-matrix organization on high-level projects involving multiple managers.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
