Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in mechanical design and engineering, including taking responsibility of the full “art to part” development cycle. You should have experience in the mechanical design of mechatronics, precision design, or complex optical systems, as well as good intuition for complex mechanical systems. You will be expected to leverage your design experience, mechanical design exposure to kinematics, dynamics, material properties and behavior, and structural analysis, to bring concepts to life using 3D solid modeling. You will also need to demonstrate basic experience with mechanical analytical techniques, including “first principle” engineering equations and Finite Element Analysis such as stress/strain/deformation, modal response, and more. You should be able to derive conclusions from analysis and make practical recommendations. Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills are crucial, as well as the ability to interface with multidisciplinary groups including senior leadership.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Wilton, Connecticut.
Work Environment
This position will be based in Connecticut, in a manufacturing setting, with a Monday-Friday, 1st Shift schedule. There is potential for a hybrid work arrangement after the training period.
