Job Title: Test Coordinator
Job Description
The Testing Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of Sales and System testing. This includes assisting in assembly, electrical, and hydraulic functions. The role also involves managing requests for testing and communicating those requests to the appropriate departments.
Responsibilities
Acquire test materials, review test specifications, and pre-test machines.
Ensure test material is safe to shred by requesting and reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with management for approval.
Handle all materials to be shredded using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling apparatus as needed.
Maintain the test areas, including clean-up after testing.
Ensure those involved in testing are following safety requirements.
Maintain test materials before and after processing, and report test results.
Assist in assembly as necessary.
Communicate testing needs via scheduling meetings, and prepare and maintain weekly test schedules.
Ensure system testing is done effectively and efficiently.
Ensure a clean hand-off to the next department once testing is completed.

Understanding of shredders and shredder components and how to assemble and disassemble them.
Understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.
High proficiency in all aspects of material handling and rigging.

Detail-oriented
Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
Operate common assembly equipment such as torches and pneumatic tools.
Legible writing
Excellent mechanical skills
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
Ability to handle many tasks at once
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables while under pressure.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Safety Data Sheets, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Work Environment
The role is based in an open industrial machine shop with open bay doors. While performing duties, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually loud. The work schedule is 7am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week and some overtime required. The physical demands include regular standing and using hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequent walking and reaching with hands and arms; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and talking or hearing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
