Siemens EDA has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the DevOps team for their flagship Calibre product. The group works on multiple areas of the Software Development Process including Source Code Management, building CI/CD pipelines, setting up and maintaining on premises and cloud infrastructure as well as build & release management.

Requirements and Responsibilities

• BS in Computer Science or similar work experience required

• Experience with and passion for Unix / Linux operating systems

• Proficiency with Git and at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl)

• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, we are here to support our customers!

• The ability to work constructively and productively on a team, as well as alone, is critical

• Strong candidates will be resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative when appropriate

• Experience with relational database design and schema development, data normalization and optimization

• Experience with distributed / replicated /scalable database infrastructure

Desirable Skills

• Postgres or MariaDB experience

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes administration

• General networking and/or storage concepts, protocols and/or monitoring tools

• Software debugging tools

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
