Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a CNC Machine Operator. This role involves working on the swing or weekend shift. As a machine operator, you will assist in machining large metal parts for production, becoming proficient in operating a 4-axis horizontal mill. The shop produces approximately 1,200 parts a month and is highly process-driven. Cycle times can vary from 1 hour to 5 minutes, requiring machinists to change inserts, clean, and maintain the work area around the machine.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in machining large metal parts for production.

  • Operate a 4-axis horizontal mill.

  • Change inserts and maintain the work area around the machine.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.

  • Use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical inclination.

  • 1-3 years of machining experience.

  • Proficiency with hand tools.

  • Experience with calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in becoming a production machinist.

  • Experience with CNC machines and CNC operation.

  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with machining, production, and metalworking.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
