We are in search of an Attorney to be based out of our Wilmington, Ohio office. This role involves providing support to our legal team, primarily in the field of criminal law. The selected individual will be expected to work on a short-term contract basis, assisting with legal research, managing case files, and providing administrative support to attorneys.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation

• Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents

• Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, and court personnel

• Maintain and organize case files to ensure their readiness for court proceedings

• Adhere to all legal standards and regulations, particularly in relation to criminal law

• Support attorneys in court, including the preparation of case briefs and notes

• Assist with the drafting of legal documents, including pleadings and motions

• Manage correspondence with clients, witnesses, and court officials

• Ensure that all legal procedures are followed accurately and promptly

• Support attorneys in managing their schedules and meeting deadlines.

Requirements • Must possess a valid bar admission

• Proficient knowledge of criminal law is required

• Strong research skills are essential

• Experience working in a legal environment would be an advantage

• Proficiency in using legal research tools and databases

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Must demonstrate high levels of professional integrity and ethics
