Job Title: Mechanical Systems EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role involves interfacing with multiple Engineering disciplines, Business Managers, Project Managers, and customers. You will play a critical part in meeting functional, business, and broad company objectives in support of advanced reactor design concepts. This role will challenge you with complex technical issues within a dynamic project environment. You will also provide technical support in the development of the Mechanical Nuclear Island systems, apply engineering knowledge to solve complex design problems, develop drawings and specifications, and respond professionally to customer inquiries and audits. This position also requires proactive collaboration with product line and quality personnel, review of proposals, and order evaluations.
Hard Skills
In-depth knowledge of major reactor systems and their operation
Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Systems experience
Professional Engineering License
Advanced Degree from an accredited college or university
Experience with design, evaluation, and operation of nuclear power plant components
Experience in system design work, P&IDs, process flow calculations
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 8 years experience in a mechanical systems environment, specifically in the nuclear industry
Soft Skills
Proven oral / written communication and teamwork skills
Proven technical skills within project management environment
Demonstrated ability to perform while challenged by multiple demands and changing priorities
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including customer interface experience
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully remote position.
Work Environment
This role is 100% remote. Our team comprises approximately 28 individuals, each responsible for a specific system, supported by a group of dedicated engineers. You'll be working in an R&D environment, focusing on systems development work.
