Blaze Heating and Plumbing Lead HVAC Service Technician in Wilmington, North Carolina

Blaze Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electricis seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a Lead HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of HVAC service technicians.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily work schedules for the team.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians, ensuring continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues, including but not limited to, heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to enhance technical knowledge.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate effectively to explain technical issues, provide solutions, and offer recommendations for system improvements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service calls, work performed, and parts used.
  • Generate service reports and provide detailed information for invoicing purposes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure that team members comply with safety regulations and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of residential HVAC Service experience and knowledge
  • Valid local drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • Acceptable criminal background record
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work synergistically with crew partner(s), also independently and accurately
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools

Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000
