Successful, law firm located in the Wilmington Delaware is looking to hire a Staff Accountant with previous experience utilizing and adapting to new systems and communicating with finance departments and legal attorneys. In this Staff Accountant role, the duties will consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, assisting with account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, support regulatory compliance, reviewing financial statements, assisting with bank reconciliations, and participating in the development and tracking of budgets. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, proven GAAP knowledge and FASB.

Everyday Responsibilities

· Support daily accounting functions

· Month End/Year End Close

· Prepare journal entries

· Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts

· Database Management

· General ledger account reconciliation

· Assist with 401K auditing

· Assist with documentation for annual audit process

· Review performance projections

· Ad hoc special projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:

· 1+ years of accounting/finance experience

· CPA or CPA tracking preferred – not required

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Power BI a plus
