Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting and operational analysis with assigned plants within NA, works closely with plant management to provide analytical support, assists in the development/enhancement of reporting processes, and provides recommendations to improve internal controls and profitability.

This position is based in Wilmington Delaware

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly operating statements along with supporting analysis and commentary for Senior Management and shareholders

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly KPIs for plant management and Manufacturing Directors and assisting in the development of new KPIs

  • Acting as a key liaison for the Plant Manager in overseeing/evaluating his/her plant by usually explaining financial information to managers with a non-financial background.

  • Preparing, analyzing, and publishing reporting packages with data integrity for the review of Plant Managers and manufacturing Directors along with the VP of Operations and Yorkdale to be used to analyze operations and make strategic decisions.

  • This reporting requires the correlation of monthly operational data (i.e. production metrics) to financial data (cost and profitability) to highlight the opportunity costs of production deficiencies.

  • Continuously reviewing identified reporting that flags a lack of timely compliance with plant processes and liaising with plant operations staff to ensure that remedial action is taken in a timely manner.

  • Playing an active role in supporting the annual planning process with Plant Mgmt. ensuring that the forecasting is realistic using past performance as an indicator of future performance.

  • Performing business modeling (i.e. what-if scenarios) during the planning processes

  • Reporting against the leadership team and providing explanations where there are deviations from the plan

  • Ensuring the accuracy of reported costs by continually ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) is accurate and reflects the current use of raw materials with production.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business with a Finance concentration; MBA preferred

  • CPA or CMA Designation preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive financial analytical experience

  • Strong understanding of cost and mgmt. accounting including budgeting through previous experience in a large multi-site manufacturing environment

  • Solid understanding of accounting policies including IFRS and GAAP

  • Proficient working in an advanced ERP environment (preferably JDE experience) along with advanced Excel skills

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-focused and committed to meeting challenging deadlines which sometimes require a flexible schedule with a professional commitment to maintaining confidentiality

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure consistency in reporting methodology
