JPMorgan Chase .NET Software Engineer II, AWS in Wilmington, Delaware

As a .Net Software Engineer II, AWS at JPMorgan Chase within the Operations Technology, you serve as an emerging member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. In this role you will play a key role on engineering scrum teams to develop high quality code that helps in improving customer assistive experience for Chase's Customer Service Representatives users. You are ready to learn and excel experience in application design, solutions architecting, development and testing will be required to set strategic technical direction and solve complex problems. Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems

  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development

  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems

  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience

  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, .NET

  • Experience/knowledge on the Java/J2EE stack is a nice to have.

  • Experience/knowledge on Apache Spark and Kafka is a must to have.

  • Experience with building APIs - RESTful APIs, Spring Boot

  • Working knowledge of NoSQL, SQL, RDBMS.

  • Experience with Cloud technologies ( AWS , Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)

  • Hands on experience with writing functional and regression automated tests to be run as part of the build pipeline.

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Understanding of Public and Private Cloud based application development, deployment and maintenance. Terraform Experience a plus

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience/knowledge on .NET apps on AWS is desirable.

  • Angular JS, React and/or JavaScript UI development is a plus

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies

  • Exposure to multi-cloud technologies
