Job Description
The Pharma Solutions business will be taking on its next chapter of growth as a trusted partner for the pharmaceutical industry with the announcement to sell Pharma Solutions to Roquette. This move will position Pharma Solutions to expand its industry leadership through continued investment in innovation to meet the evolving needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers and developers worldwide.
The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Pharma Solutions business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to Roquette. Job Summary:
It’s an exciting time to join the Information Technology Team. As the IT Global Analytics Lead, you will be focused on various data initiatives and willing to learn and dabble in different technologies to move the organizational data management and analytics capabilities forward. The successful candidate will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by engineering Big Data Platform and toolsets for business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities. The candidate will be a hands-on technical lead that can create conceptual, logical, and physical architecture for data storage, processing, reporting, and analytics leveraging emerging technologies.
This role outlines the key responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements for the IT Global Analytics Lead position. Candidates who possess a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement will excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
Owns project portfolio and drives alignment across the businesses mapping requirements to delivered solutions.
Ability to analyze and perform basic and complex configuration within SAP Business Warehouse and S/4 Hana.
Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by engineering Big Data Platform and toolsets for business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities.
Create conceptual, logical, and physical architecture for data storage, processing, reporting, and analytics leveraging emerging technologies.
Collaborate with the IT team, architecture team, and other business units to ensure alignment and coordination of the IT Analytics initiatives and projects.
Support system integration of diverse data sources and technologies used in the design, construction, testing, deployment, and operations of BI solutions.
Implement best practice tools and processes for ensuring data quality to support data identification, Feature creation by working closely with the BI/Advanced Analytics teams on delivering Intelligence and Insights on raw data with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Forecasting, Advanced Search, Statistical Modeling capabilities, etc.
Collaborate and govern the Application Management Service team that will provide technical support and documentation and support the build of applications with reference to consuming and managing data and troubleshooting for the Analytic Platforms and users.
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices and share knowledge and insights with the team.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, statistics, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in a similar BW/Analytics role, including systems design, development, implementation, and support
Preferred experience in S/4 HANA
Knowledge of supporting applications
Experience in Project Portfolio / Lifecycle Management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Knowledge of hierarchical databases/graph databases
Knowledge of Data Modelling/Data Architecture
Proficient in programming languages, databases, web technologies, and software development tools
Preferred:
Experience extracting data or interconnecting with SAP would be a plus
Understanding of Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, etc.) and knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
Good understanding of AI and Machine Learning and packages in python or R for advanced analytics
A good understanding of Chemistry, Biology or modeling in any of these fields is a plus
