Ethos Veterinary Health Oncology Veterinary Assistant, PEAK in Williston, Vermont

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our team, providing invaluable support in our Medical Oncology department. It's an exciting opportunity for experienced veterinary assistants passionate about the field and eager to dive into diverse experiences.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Maintaining a pristine and secure work environment, ensuring cleanliness in laundry facilities, floors, and cages.
Assisting with basic animal restraint and providing essential animal husbandry and hygiene between patients.
Performing basic record-keeping procedures and overseeing the proper stocking of medical supplies and janitorial needs.
Handling of laboratory samples for in-hospital tests and outside submissions
Schedule:
Tuesday – Friday
8a-6p
Compensation:
Starting compensation would be $15 but can go as high as $18 for an experienced veterinary assistant.
About you: We are looking for someone with:
Excellent medical skills including animal restraint and basic medical knowledge
Clear and compassionate communication style with clients and team members
Great attention to detail
Able to work independently, but is also a team player
Willingness to work with hazardous drugs and learning safety skills
