Overview
As a Sonographer with CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center, you will be responsible for performing obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound examinations at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.
To be successful as a sonographer, you should have excellent patient service and communication skills, as well as good eyesight and attention to detail. You should have good technical skills, as well as sound judgment and decision-making skills.

We are offering a $30,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to $5,000 relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Responsibilities
Produce high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam
Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation
Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS.
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the department
Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited college or technical program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Required Licensure and Certifications
RDMS
BLS-CPR
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Strong oral communications skills
Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
Strong critical thinking skills
Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay Range
$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
