External Job Title: Mechanical Drafter/Inspector

Internal Job Title: Design A

Job Location: Williamsport, PA

Perform visual and mechanical inspections to verify mechanical dimensions are met. Proficient in blueprint reading and machine shop math. Working knowledge in the set-up, operation and understanding of software for a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and / or optical measurement device. Also understanding and use of CAD software to create 3D models and associated drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect applicable dimensions of parts, jigs, fixtures, assemblies, and finished product.

• Use various conventional, mechanical, optical, visual and computer controlled inspection instruments to detect defects.

• Document and report inspection results using authorized procedures, computers, forms and ERP System.

• Follow/implement all written procedures and specifications as required.

• Develop layout drawings of complete or partial development or production products under direct guidance of engineering and designers.

• Design and detail component part and assembly drawings from product layout designs.

• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.

• Follow all facility security and safety guidelines.

• Complete other work assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Related Technical Field Preferred..

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and math.

• CAD software experience desireable, preferably Solidworks software.

• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
