Description

First Shift Medical Secretary assists the medical and nursing staff with the coordination of patient care and provides clerical support to facilitate patient care.

Responsible for general communications on the nursing units, including telephone and written communication; Assemble and maintain patient charts for admissions, transfers and discharges per facility policy ; Maintain patient records and administrative reports; Coordinate administrative work within the unit as well as with other units and departments; Report pertinent information in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor ; other duties as assigned.
