Job Title: Welder/Fabricator
Job Responsibilities:
A Welder/Fabricator performs any of the following duties on construction projects, sometimes working in varying capacity when required.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
Perform multiple welding processes, including SMAW (stick) TIG and MIG with various materials.
Understand and perform the functions of arc welding done either by hand or by machine.
Understand and perform the functions of an acetylene and oxygen torch.
Other duties as necessary for the successful execution of tasks related to the project, including the ability to lift up and over 50 lbs.
Job Qualifications:
This position is a skilled craft position, as it requires proven and demonstrable previous experience as a Welder.
Experience with bridge work, including welding bridge piling, bearing devices and miscellaneous metals preferred, but not required.
Three (3) to Five (5) years or more of industry related experience is required for this position.
Profound knowledge of operating general metal shop equipment and tools.
Possess the demonstrated ability to cut, fit, measure and weld metals to create the desired shape or object.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen.
Must have a valid drivers license.
