Newman University Student - Honors Program House Leader in Wichita, Kansas

Occupational Summary:

An Honors Program House Leader is a student who works in conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director of the Honors Program to develop and enhance the house system. Students will complete about 25 hours of work throughout the academic year.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the Honors Program staff to plan and carry out Honors House events and competitions

  • Regularly attend Honors events and activities as a representative of one’s respective House

  • Act as a leader for members of one’s respective House, encouraging fellow students to attend events, answering questions, and generally maintaining the House spirit

  • Meet with the Director and Assistant Director on a regular basis to help improve the house system

  • Other duties as assigned

    Position Prerequisites:

  • Continued full-time undergraduate student status (minimum of 12 credit hours) at Newman University

  • Good standing in the Honors Program

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
