ManpowerGroup Senior Controls Engineer in Whitmore Lake, Michigan

Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting automated control systems for industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Whitmore Lake, MI

Pay Rate: Pay is between $40-45/hour w2 (Will be dependent on experience level)

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and commissioning industrial controls systems, PLC software design, and HMI screens, for different industries and environments.

  • Responsible for PLC/HMI code development, code installation, debug on job site, and commissioning of the complete system.

  • Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of systems. (Traveling up to 75%)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience

  • 3+ years of Rockwell Allen Bradley (Controllogix OR RSLogix) or Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal, WinCC) PLC programming experience.

  • Strong ability with motion control programming/commissioning (Servos, VFD, etc.).
