JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Summary Directs production and processing operations through a team of functional managers and front-line supervisors across multiple sites within a region or a large complex facility. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines. Key Responsibilities oManages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures. oProvides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. oProvides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. oManages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand. oEnsures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. oBalances work cell capacity/loading across the plant. oProvides leadership through a 12 month planning cycle. oDetermines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies. oEnsures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects. oManages compliance with state and federal regulations. oPerforms other related duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience oBachelor\'s degree (preferably in Poultry Science) or equivalent work experience the poultry industry. o10 years of prior poultry management work experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities oMust have an understanding of the operation and maintenance of the equipment used in egg production and egg processing. o Extensive knowledge of poultry management to include, the care and nutritional needs of chickens. oMust have an understanding of the maintenance needs of barns, mills, tractors, vehicles in an agricultural environment. oMust understand Bio-Security needs in a poultry environment and the protection of the flocks from disease. oMust have an understanding of the preferred Animal Welfare practices in the industry. oStrong communications skills. oTeambuilding skills oAbility to manage several projects at the same time. oConflict resolution skills. oAbility to follow and enforce Company policies and procedures in a consistent manner. oManage a budget in order to manage the farm in a cost efficient manner.
