Robert Half is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Specialist for a contract role with potential for hire for our client in Westchester County. This is a dynamic opportunity to handle weekly payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 325 union and non-union employees.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 325 hourly employees

• Handle direct deposit setup and issue live paychecks as required

• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in payroll processes

• Utilize payroll software (Paylocity) to process and manage payroll data

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Prior experience in payroll processing

• Familiarity with payroll software, especially Paylocity

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This temporary position comes with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist

• Proficient in using Paylocity software for payroll processing

• Knowledge and experience in handling both Union and Non-Union payroll processing

• Ability to process weekly payroll efficiently and accurately

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent numerical skills with an ability to spot inaccuracies

• Understanding of legislation and regulations related to payroll

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
