West Virginia Employer Teen Dating Violence Advocate - Marshall County in Wheeling, West Virginia

Associates degree or experience preferred. Provide support to teen victims of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking Provide safety planning, active listening, program and community information, referrals, crisis intervention and emotional support Develop and maintain teen peer group and monthly meetings Conduct intake interview with teen victims and maintain documentation Bring awareness to teens about civil and criminal court procedures and all victim services Work closely with other YWCA programs Maintain a good working relationship with community agencies Work to develop and maintain a professional and appropriate working relationship with members of law enforcement including school resource officer Assist with residential facility services during school closings and holidays Ability to be on call; evenings and weekends included Occasional overnight travel Attendance at WVCADV trainings as needed while working toward Advocate Certification Attend FVPP staff meetings and in-service trainings Conduct community speaking engagements Any other duties as required and assigned.
