Your role at Clorox:

The purpose of this position is to ensure product and the plant environment are meeting or exceeding Quality standards. Carry out required testing for finished product and verify quality checks throughout the plant are acceptable. Place nonconforming items on hold and release/NODD as required. Ensure laboratory room, equipment and supplies are well-maintained. Inspect and verify equipment and facility cleanliness. Act as the liaison between the hourly work force associated with the production of product and company management when necessary.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct and document daily Quality Control analytical testing activities in the laboratory for finished product.

  • Maintain, calibrate/verify calibration of laboratory equipment according to SOP. Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issue.

  • Conduct, document, and/or review daily line checks to ensure packaged product meets specifications.

  • Conduct visual inspections and swabbing to verify cleanliness of equipment.

  • Verify all required product testing is completed by Process and results are logged in Synergy.

  • Electronically release incoming raw materials for production and upload COA into SAP.

  • Maintain pertinent Quality Control documentation/records in compliance with FDA, GMP and Clorox Standards.

  • Review and approve required Acidified Food verification checks according to facility’s requirements.

  • Create and update files in Synergy.

  • Work with receiving to address any quality or food safety issues related to incoming shipments.

  • Send product for micro testing, maintain records, and follow up on results.

  • Send packages via FedEx as directed by Food Safety Manager.

  • Coordinate and participate in monthly GMP audits. Document findings and follow-up on corrective actions.

  • Complete monthly glass and brittle plastic audit. Document findings and follow-up on corrective actions.

  • Carry out environmental monitoring testing and raw material verification activities as directed by Food Safety Manager.

  • Generate customer COAs.

  • Generate laboratory chemicals and supplies inventory report.

  • Hold non-conforming raw materials, packaging materials, and product. Release raw material, packaging materials, and product as directed by SOP or Food Safety Manager. Issue NODDs to destroy/donate nonconforming items, per SOP.

  • Collect information associated with problem resolution efforts.

  • Initiate timely communication flow through the organization.

  • Uphold and follow company safety rules, programs and initiatives.

  • Work and foster a partnership with personnel in Processing and Packaging departments.

  • Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by management.

What we look for:

  • 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing quality control

  • Minimum of 6 months training recommended for full qualification skill level.

  • Previous laboratory experience desirable for candidates considering joining the department.

  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail when performing tasks.

  • Excellent computer skills: SAP, Synergy 2000/Zontec, Electronic Mail, Sharepoint system

Starting Base Pay: $24.76/hour

Shift Differential: $1.25/hour
