Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Assists patients with menu selection process to ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition related items. Enter tube feeding orders in accordance with diet order and usage. Set up TIM with iPhones.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Answer phone calls from patients and nursing staff to assist with menu selection in compliance with therapeutic diets as appropriate.Assist patients with carbohydrate counting, fluid restrictions, and other parameters of Medical Nutrition Therapy as necessary.Edits and enters selections into the computer system and verifies physician/physician extender order.Enter tube feeding orders in accordance with diet order and usage.Set up TIM with iPhones.

  • Utilizes proper food handling and food storage techniques when assembling patient trays and receiving, rotating, and storing food.Delivers and retrieves food carts and ensures that patient trays are delivered in accordance with the tray delivery system.

  • Support cleaning pots and pans at sink area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • High School/GED

  • Requires CBORD training and knowledge

  • Strong math skills
