Keystone Surveying and Mapping, Inc. CAD Technician 3 in Wexford, Pennsylvania
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all the necessary tasks during the initial setup of drawing packages, with a focus on adherence to CAD standards and data management procedures with an emphasis to the oil and gas market sector
- Completes design tasks associated with production drawings at a high level with minimal assistance
- Create preliminary site layout plans and preliminary concept plans
- Ability to generate pipeline alignment sheets, as specified by the engineer and/or client
- Incorporate rough draft sketches, drawings, redlines, etc. into the plan sets as provided
- Creates design layout of utility facilities including plans, details, cross sections and material lists
- Performs tasks including Block/Linetype creation, Surface Modeling, Alignments & Profiles
- Ability to work with engineers to develop designs in 3D and 2D
- Should be familiar with Civil 3D Style Editing
- Assist in training new employees and providing detailed insight as necessary
Will perform QA/QC on all work
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently on projects, manage time, and prioritize assignments while working on multiple projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written skills and attention to detail
- 3+ years of experience in CAD
- Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design (CADD) or Certificate from a technical school
- Candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant experience, with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant 3D as primary software
- Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Must have good math, communication, and organization skills
