Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the real estate development industry based in Jericho, New York. The role is for a Property Accountant who will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting operations. The workplace is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the successful candidate will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to account coding and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and executing accounting functions with precision

• Utilizing accounting software systems for efficient financial management

• Maintaining and updating Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) with accuracy

• Implementing ADP - Financial Services for optimal financial management

• Conducting regular audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy

• Applying accrual accounting principles in financial operations

• Utilizing AMSI and AppFolio for efficient account management

• Coding accounts appropriately for seamless financial tracking

• Resolving financial discrepancies and accounting issues promptly

• Overseeing financial records and ensuring their accuracy and integrity. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, with the ability to accurately classify and record financial transactions.

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems, demonstrating competence in using various accounting platforms to streamline financial operations.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services, showcasing the ability to manage payroll and other financial services.

• Knowledge of AMSI, indicating the ability to use this property management software for efficient property accounting.

• Proficiency in AppFolio, showing experience in using this property management software for various accounting functions.

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions, including but not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), demonstrating the ability to oversee and control outgoing payments.

• Competence in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), showing the capability to manage and track incoming payments.

• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting, with the ability to recognize revenues and expenses when they are incurred, not when cash is exchanged.

• Experience in Auditing, showcasing the ability to inspect financial records for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
