The Toro Company Engineering Intern - American Augers in West Salem, Ohio

Amer ican A ugers builds the largest horizontal directional drills in the industry, and a full range of auger boring machines. What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the design and development of the company’s products and processes

  • Read and understand customer and supplier drawings, engineering documents, and specifications

  • Prepare and modify engineering parts and drawings, using Creo, Windchill, and SAP

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ANSI, and ASME

  • Provide engineering support assistance for reviews such as root cause analysis, gate and technical reviews, and budget/program proposals

  • Interface with other local and global internal organizations such as manufacturing, service, product support, purchasing, and marketing, as well as external customers and suppliers

  • Assist team in identifying process improvements

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in an Engineering discipline and must have completed freshman year

  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and willing to learn new skills

  • Must be flexible in acceptance of assignments and schedules

  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills

  • Must demonstrate acceptance of responsibility and show pride in work performed

  • Experience with Computer Aided Design and ERP systems

  • Power Systems, including Hydraulics and Pneumatics, is a plus
