[Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks Assistant Project Manager in West Fargo, ND
[Analyze project requirements and perform calculations or write reports and complete deliverables. Implement an established project plan. Identify, resolve, or escalate operational problems and minimize delays. Ensure preparation and compliance with approved safety plan. Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and the firm receives satisfactory standards of service. Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to meet targets. Attend project meetings and prepare regular project status reports. Help set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and[milestones. Submit project deliverables to client as per contract scope and schedule. Coordinate with APR to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for reviews of all critical junctures. Develop understanding of project-related risk and company risk policies. Ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Promote pre-task planning for all projects. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Engage APRs on projects at their onset.
[Requires a Masters degree in Construction Management or related field. In addition, the position requires 1 year of experience in each of the following:]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{new="" roman="" times=""}
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects, or one phase of large projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management as it relates to construction management, including estimating, scheduling, and safety
- Ability to review and understand project requirements and review reports
- Conduct project kick off meetings and be the lead client contact for small projects
- Manage and coordinate staff to meet project milestones and requirements
