Robert Half HR Generalist in West Covina, California

Description

We are seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in West Covina, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of human resources experience and a strong understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, and compliance. This role will be essential in supporting daily HR operations and ensuring a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.

  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and addressing employee benefits-related questions.

  • HR Compliance: Ensure company policies and procedures comply with state and federal regulations. Maintain accurate employee records and files.

  • Performance Management: Support performance review processes, employee development plans, and disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Payroll Support: Work alongside payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping, employee records, and payroll processing.

  • Training & Development: Assist with employee training, onboarding sessions, and maintaining training records.

  • HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Salary:

  • Competitive pay based on experience.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.

  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in staffing or recruiting environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
