SUMMARYDirectly supports Purchasing team function by ensuring effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals. Supports overall NL supply chain process and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity. QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma/equivalentDUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESLogistics•Works closely within the Purchasing/Planning team to minimize freight expense through container consolidation, timely booking, and proactive shipment scheduling oSecures shipping quotes and negotiates our terms with assigned freight forwardersoUpon arrival to US port, work with freight vendors & domestic trucking partners to establish trucking/overland shipping of container to NL at the best costoGenerates a stream of alternative logistic options through building new relationships with NL approved forwarders or through consolidation of deliveries with Zippo/CaseoTracks the supply of goods/raw material in transit from ex-factory to the US Port delivery, through customs clearance and the timely land delivery to NL warehouseoVerifies shipping invoices for accuracy and reconcile issues when they occuroAssist with reporting on monthly freight expense, carrier performance to monitor on-time performance, claims ratio, etc. •Responsible for rating all tariff filings and monitoring carrier compliance. Track and monitor carrier compliance with established standards. Ensures accurate documentation is furnished to the customs process. Mitigates potential and unexpected port charges as needed and checks for discrepancies that could cost NL money.•Updates IPSS report for inventory in transit and keeps NL team informed via updates in Monday.com •Ensures all HT codes, and Schedule B documents are updated in D365 with the latest HTS.USITC.GOC changesOther Team Supporting Responsibilities•Communicates updates to internal/external stakeholders concerning any changes, container contents, etc. •Works as part of key team members assigned to oversight, troubleshooting, and resolving D365 issues. Works with internal and external personnel to resolve any issues that may come up. Skills & Abilities:•Demonstrated excellent communication skills with internal and external customers•Must be highly organized, detail oriented with excellent math skills and maintain a high level of accuracy•Independent self-starter able to work well in a team-environment •Ability to efficiently work within rigid time constraints•Dedicated to task completion and has able to accurately complete multiple tasks with interruptions.•Demonstrated computer skills to include Microsoft office suite, corporate email, shipping/ERP platforms•Understanding customs requirements (including tariffs and duties) and shipping documentation•Negotiation skills and experience•Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary

Minimum Salary: 16.68 Maximum Salary: 19.18 Salary Unit: Yearly
