Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Porter to join our team at Nelson University. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our client?s events by setting up and breaking down event furnishings in accordance with our client?s specifications while adhering to Aramark?s standards of operation and safety policies.

Essential functions and responsibilities?of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements?and business needs

Job Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs and other required equipment

• Ability to follow and execute set up layouts according to event diagrams

• Tear down or flip event space in preparation for upcoming events or activities

• Properly store tables, chairs, and equipment while not in use

• Assist in removal and disposal of trash in different areas around campus

• Move furniture or other equipment as needed

• Escort contractors and/or subcontractors performing work on or within the University

• Provide task support in other areas of facilities as needed or assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work well under occasional time constraints

• Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions

• Ability to work occasional over-time and evening hours

• Must be flexible and responsive to change

• Position prefers a high-school diploma or GED

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
