JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS: Job Summary The Advising Supervisor is a working manager, providing supervision to assigned Advisors while actively advising and case managing NTC students. The Advising Supervisor will also oversee special projects and initiatives, including but not limited to assisting at-risk and underserved populations, oversight of emergency grants and the NTC Promise Program, grant project management, predictive analytics and early alert system, international and career advising. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Leadership & Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to a team of Advisors. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture Support the implementation and evaluation of retention and student success strategies aligned with the College\'s strategic plan and under the direction of the Director, Student Retention & Engagement Implement and assess delivery of comprehensive academic advising services to students, using data to ensure high quality, accessibility, and effective advising College & Staff Collaborations: Collaborate with College faculty and resource staff to develop effective and timely solutions, resolving issues directly to minimize escalation and referrals. Work with advisors to resolve escalated student situations taking into consideration appropriate resources, policies, and procedures Collaborate with student services and NTC College staff to facilitate effective referrals and ensure the availability of academic and non-academic student supports.
