Job Description Summary

Lead the transformation of supplier base towards excellence and predictability delivery, planning and inventory.

The Supplier Transformation Leader is pivotal in driving procurement transformation with our supplier base. The role will be responsible for driving excellence and predictability in supplier metrics such as but not restricted to on-time delivery, planning and inventory optimization.

This influencer-role will call for complex problem solving at various levels of the procurement process.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Lead efforts to enhance on-time delivery with suppliers.

  • Identify and lead transformational projects to resolve delivery, planning challenges at supplier’s.

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional team to identify opportunities to improve procurement/planning processes.

  • Apply lean methodologies to solve complex issues within the supplier delivery process.

  • Coach suppliers in lean problem-solving techniques.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier fulfillment operations are in line with organizational long term goals.

  • Use data to bring visibility to progress in supplier planning and fulfillment.

  • Educate leadership and internal stakeholders on progress, help needed, long term plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years in supply chain operations, or sourcing or Lean.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Travel-ready 40% of the time.

  • Excellent communication skills ( Spanish and English ) – oral, written. The role will be an influencer to external organizations viz., suppliers all the time.

  • Strong execution mindset – drive to “win the week” every week.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to influence internal and supplier teams at all levels – leadership, operational, execution.

  • Lean leadership experience and/or Six Sigma experience.

  • Experience in working with global supplier base.

  • Strong analytical mindset. Strong working knowledge with Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI etc.
