We are in search of a diligent Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Waukegan, Illinois. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, your primary role will involve managing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and responding to customer inquiries. In addition, you will monitor customer accounts and initiate necessary actions. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.

• Keep track of customer credit records to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.

• Offer assistance in the freight claim process.

• Work through the portal to collect necessary information and provide it to the Collections/AR Coordinator.

• Provide support in applying AR cash to help cover for vacations.

• Assist the Collections/AR Coordinator in the collection process.

• Scan AR documents to ensure that all records are digital and easily accessible.

• Assist in filing Accounts Payable documents.

• Support as needed with various projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Demonstrated ability in billing and cash applications

• Experience in cash collections is required

• Familiarity with commercial collections is essential

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
