Job Title: Maintenance Team Electrician (3rd Shift)

Job Description

As a 3rd Shift Electrician , you will troubleshoot all electrical breakdowns and make necessary repairs. You will test faulty equipment, diagnose causes of malfunctions, and replace defective components and wiring. You will also align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications and maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

  • Shift : 3rd shift schedule

  • Pay : $30-34.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and make repairs

  • Test faulty equipment and diagnose causes of malfunctions

  • Test electrical components and circuits to locate defects

  • Replace defective components and wiring

  • Adjust mechanical parts as needed

  • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications

  • Calibrate testing instruments

  • Work with PLCs for troubleshooting and programming

  • Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of industrial electrical experience

  • Experience with electrical conduit and wiring

  • Proficiency in PLCs troubleshooting and programming

  • Ability to bend pipe and conduit

  • Experience running wires throughout machinery and equipment

  • Ability to rewire motors

  • Experience installing and repairing machinery

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Industrial Electrician certification is a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills

Work Environment

Our client is a industrial manufacturing site, and consists of specialty machinery to manufacture building materials in various stages of the production process. At times, the maintenance team members would also need to be comfortable walking up & down ladders when servicing components on larger equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukegan , Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
