Robert Half HR Coordinator in Watsonville, California

Description We are seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team in the Paper/Packaging industry, based in WATSONVILLE, California. The role entails administering benefits, updating employee records, and handling employee inquiries. The position will be on-site and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of enrollment, change, and termination forms for company health insurance and other benefits.

• Maintain and update employee records and benefits files, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.

• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, promptly resolving any benefits-related issues.

• Collaborate with payroll to ensure that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Reconcile monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and communicate errors with third-party administrators.

• Collaborate with HR Manager to conduct benefits orientation sessions for new and rehired employees.

• Provide support during the annual open enrollment periods.

• Prepare and maintain employee files including confidential medical files, unemployment claims, and COBRA.

• Track and process employee leaves of absence, including FMLA and PSL.

• Use skills such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time, Background Checks, Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, and Spanish Language to perform duties efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a HR Coordinator role or similar position

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time tools is needed

• Experience with conducting Background Checks is essential

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration is a must

• Understanding of Compliance within HR policies and procedures

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferable.
